We spent seven nights at this wonderful home on Puako. We loved every minute of our stay. This is a large home located right on the ocean front at Puako. The home is equiped with everything you would need. It was truly a luxury experience. This is the best home we have rented in HI and we have rented many.
The web site is entirely accurate and describes very well the special features. The visuals are great and anyone visiting the web site can easily determine whether the home meets their needs.

What a fabulous place! The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious with all the amenities one could desire. The pool and patio areas provide the ultimate in serenity. And with the beach just steps away with incredible tide pools, turtles and fish, it just doesn't get any better.
We had friends from Shanghai and Russia staying with us and they just couldn't get over the how nice everything was. To this day they profess that this was one of the best places that they have ever stayed...and they travel often.
We had planned on going to restaurants every night but instead we chose to stay at the house and cook for ourselves as no restaurant could offer the premiere environment that we were in. Plus, the gourmet kitchen and Bar B Que made for wonderful meals and social gatherings.
If you love water activities and the beach, you will be in heaven here!! The house provides all the equipment you will need for fun, fun, fun!
Our three year old daughter had the time of her life and is always asking to go back to the "Hawaii House."
I can't wait to go back and I recommend this property1000%!

My family spent a week at Hale Nana Kohola celebrating my retirement and enjoying the beauty of the Big Island. Given the pictures and the price, our expectations were high and were certainly met, if not exceeded, by this beautiful home and setting. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with and the local manager was a great source of ideas for how we could make the best of our time on the island. The house is well equiped for everything one might need including beach chairs, bikes and kayaks. In addition to the beach in front, there are several great beaches very close. Our dinner at the Blue Dragon for "rock and roll" night was great fun. Sunsets each night were beautiful and celebrated on the beach in front with a glass of wine. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.

This is an amazing home. Very private, beautifully furnished and appointed, we wished we could have stayed forever. The location is great, you don't have to leave to be in heaven, but if you want to there are great beaches within a few minutes! It comes with a full array of beach gear and kayaks and has the most complete furnished kitchen I have seen ( and we love to cook). Our stay exceeded our expectations which were very high! June 10'. What a wonderful house! It was the perfect place for our family. Everybody enjoyed the beach and the gorgeous views from the deck. The kids were in the pool constantly (when they weren't at the beach!). We loved the Blue Dragon and the Cafe Pesto. Great food, awesome service and the entertainment at the Blue Dragon was so much fun. We even had the grandkids dancing!
Thank you to the Jenny Family

This Puako house is a celebration of nature. Perfect setting, fun equipment for every age, and so well equipped in kitchen, baths and bedrooms, not to mention the indoor or outdoor dining areas. We had a family blast in this little haven and felt no need to go any place. Walk out the back door to kayak, snorkel or just walk on the beach. The pool is gorgeous, salt water, no stinging the eyes. We all were on cloud 9 the entire time and hope to get back before long.

We have stayed in the Jenny's home twice over the past two years. Our time in Puako couldn't be more wonderful - from the gracious and nourishing home to the local people in the community. We have felt more than welcome and have appreciated how kind and helpful the Jennys, Mary, Peter and the owners of the local store have been to us and our children.

We wish to thank the Jenny Family for the use of their beautiful vacation home in Puako, Big Island Hawaii. Our time there will not soon be forgotten and was enjoyed by all who were privileged to experience it. Thanks for everything that was provided during our stay and all for the exceptional customer service that preceded it. Mahalo.

My extended family of 8 spent a week in this beautiful house. Every aspect was better than we expected (and our expectations were high). The view is spectacular, the pool is lovely, the snorkeling was amazing (we saw sea turtles every single day), and the house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and welcoming. The landscaping and vegetation make you feel you are alone on the beach. Our experience also benefitted from hospitality that is unusual in a rental. The house manager was solicitious and charming, and the owner even installed a handicap grab bar for my father in the ground floor bathroom. Absolutely the best choice we could have made for our vacation. You will not want to leave.

What a magnificent property. We walked on to the deck and beach and didn't leave for 5 days. Not only is it a beauty architecturally but the Jenny's have thought of EVERYTHING! From the espresso maker to the kayaks, great beach towels to all Big Island guide books, the media room to outdoor dining, we discovered that this beautiful home was set up to satisfy just about any needs or desires. We enjoyed the pool including so many bathing birds that joined us, the ocean, the sea turtles, the magnificent views at each level of the home, sleeping with the sounds of the sea with walls open in the master suite, cooking in the state of the art kitchen, the palms and the glorious sunsets (shared with equally awestruck neighbors)and we could go on and on. We had a delightful stay in this beautiful home. We will definitely return!

As an architect who is familiar with high level design in Hawaii, I was extremely impressed with your fabulous vacation home. From the moment I arrived on your property I felt connected to Hawaii in every sense. From the large lava paved drive to the tropical exposed beam design, your home radiates ?Aloha.? The oceanfront setting and orientation completely works with every detail thought out for a relaxing vacation. Your home allowed me to embrace Hawaii?s tropical paradise every moment I was there. I am already planning my next trip to your lovely home.

The anticipation of our vacation always seems to be best part at least that was in the past. Our family had a complete different experience at Hale Nana Kohola where the stay was better than the anticipation. It was more wonderful than we could have ever expected. This home is not only amazing in every way, like a topical paradise and the neighborhood is truly a neighborhood. We loved meeting the people that came out to see the sunset, which was most always spectacular. We loved the neighborhood store, where we were always greeted by friendly folks had most everything we needed for our last minute grocery shopping. Every day we saw humpback whales breaching right out in front of the house, we have never seen anything like that before in person. There were so many colorful fish right on the reef out front we saw while snorkeling. The chef the owner recommended put on a culinary experience none of us will forget. Best of all our four year old learned to swim in the beautiful pool.

I am so happy that we found this house for our recent family vacation. I have had the opportunity to vacation in rental properties on the Big Island several times in the past but this home surpasses any of those homes in the resort communities.
Hale Na Na Kohola is spectacular. It is obvious from the photos that this is a beautiful and luxurious home but what you don't know until you stay there is that it also has an immensely peaceful and comfortable feel to it. Secluded from other vacationers, this home doesn't feel like a rental, it feels like that of a friend or family member.
The amenities this home offers makes vacationing easy. There is no need to worry about renting snorkel gear or kayaks, or having to drive to the beach. It is all right there for you.
Several weeks later, we still reminisce about our hours of enjoyment in the pool and nightly cocktail hour at sunset in the whale watching deck.
We came from all over the U.S. to vacation in this home and can't wait to do it again. We shared so many laughs, first experiences and wonderful memories that will last a long time. Thank you Ron and Ryanne for providing our family with such a special week together!

Your home is, simply put, a little bit of paradise. What a great "home away from home" The house itself is wonderful, the view spectacular; it is so complete in every way. We all loved the openness around the pool and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. My only hope is that I can return one day. The highest of recommendations to anyone heading to the island of Hawaii. Forget San Francisco, I think I left my heart in your bit of paradise.

This home is incredible. The large open great room with cathedral ceiling and folding doors blends the space with the outdoors. All the bedrooms were wonderful. Great care was taken in building this home and everything we needed for a great holiday was there; great snorkeling (especially further off shore where we saw an arch and lava tube and wonderful coral), kayaks, bikes, even a small charming grocery store a few steps away. Our oldest son loved the house’s audio system. It is hard to call this a vacation rental as we always felt like we were staying in the owner’s home. We would definitely rent this home again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Puako. The salt water swimming pool was nothing short of fantastic. In a week's time, we spent no less than 2 hours per day in it. It was nice getting out, and not having the usual chlorine smell one is accustomed to. The views were tremendous, and the whole house audio system allowed us to set the mood for our time in paradise.

Awesome home that exceeded our already lofty expectations. The large open space in the center of the home that flowed seamlessly into the covered patio area was perfect for our two-family holiday. Great location with every conceivable amenity. We felt more like friends on an extended stay in the Jenny's home than vacation renters. I look forward to our next visit.

The moment you step in this estate you know you found something special. The architecture blends into this unique environment and takes advantage of the outstanding views. Nothing was spared in building of this home, the beautiful woods and stones are all first class. The décor is tastefully done in every detail. Watching the sunsets from the zero horizon pool was always popular. The ocean provided great snorkeling was right in front of the house with sea turtles a plenty. The beach in front of the house is nestled amongst the palms. This home is the best I have ever rented and I rent frequently. We can't wait to come back.

What a fabulous house and setting awaited us when we arrived from 3 different continents for a family birthday party. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in Puako, the house was amazing, the pool was fabulous and the beach idyllic. Everything was "top of the line" and we never felt crowded, even though we were 3 separate families. We would definitely return here again. We discovered the lovely 'beach 69' which is a mile's drive/walk away and found this was a beautiful and safe beach for the kids (ages 4 - 14)

Thanks to the Jenny family for allowing us to create some everlasting memories.

We couldn't have asked for a better vacation home. This is truly a beautiful house, not only in the way it looks (which is gorgeous!) but more importantly in the way it makes you feel. We loved the openness of the house, it was warm and inviting, and very welcoming. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The view was spectacular. There is nothing like waking up to such a picturesque sight! The house had lots of amenities and fun toys (snorkeling gear, kayaks, bikes, etc.) and it was very generous of the owners to let us enjoy them all. Unlike in most other rentals, we were gladly surprised to find a well stocked pantry and a wide selection of wares. Loved the kitchen, by the way =). The audio and video set up was also impressive - what a treat! To top these all off, the owners were simply wonderful - generous, honest, gracious people who were eager to make our stay as comfortable as can be. Even before the trip, they were very helpful and accommodating. We had a great time vacationing at the Hale Nana Kohola, and plan to make this an annual tradition. Many thanks and aloha to the Jennys!

We enjoyed the home immensely. For the first time in my vacation history, the property looked exactly like the pictures! It is a lovely home, and we appreciated the fact that it was stocked and supplied like a real home, with ample dishes, glasses, pots and pans, and even sharp knives. The pool was great and the beach incredible, and there was an abundance of quality towels. I even received a call from Ron Jenny checking to see that everything was going smoothly. The only suggestion that I would make ( I relayed the same message to Nico ) is with regard to maid service. I think that because of the size of the property, and the extensive beautiful bamboo floors, that maid service should have been provided at least one time during the week. I read that it was possible to independently schedule maid service at the tenants cost, but based on the rental rate, I believe it would be fair to offer one days maid service included in the price some time in the middle of the rental period. This is certainly not a big deal, but would have made a near perfect experience perfect! Based on this experience I assure you that we will call on you the next time we are looking for similar accommodations. We do not currently have plans, but will be in touch during the planning stage of our next holiday. Please thank the Jenny's for sharing their wonderful property with us, and we will certainly request it for our next trip to the Big Island. Best regards
Owners Response: Aloha, thank you so much for your kind words. Nico already discussed your suggestion with me and I not only concur, we are implementing this. From now on we will be including a midweek cleaning, many Mahalos, Ron Jenny
