Wake each day in one of our spacious bedrooms. You can’t have a bad day when you awaken to the views of the Puako scenery. Each bedroom includes a king size bed, full bath, and beautiful ocean view. Our media room also includes a full bath and a pull out queen size bed. The high ceilings and Polynesian architecture will give you the feeling of old Hawaii while enjoying modern amenities.

Spend your days swimming in the 360° infinity saltwater heated pool, lounging on one of the lanais, or playing on the sandy beach just steps from the home. Become one with nature as you explore the coral reef while snorkeling or swimming in the warm Hawaii waters. We have kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and snorkeling equipment available for use in our home. If you need any other outdoor equipment, you are just a short walk from the Puako General Store where you will find anything you need!

The swimming pool has direct access from the first floor. For children who are not water safe, it is recommended that they wear a life vest when in the vicinity of the pool. This home is one of the few in Puako with a sandy beach right in front complete with the protected ‘lava reef pools’ for your little ones. The ancient Hawaiians have named one of the pools in front of Hale Nana Kohola the “Queen's Bath.”

In addition to our spacious bedrooms, we offer an open living space complete with a dining area and gourmet kitchen with cathedral ceilings that open to a huge covered lanai adjacent to the 60' 360-degree infinity pool. Each bedroom and the living and media rooms have a large flat-screen TV complete with an advanced audio system that can accept individual IPOD music selections. We provide an IPOD and two IPADs loaded with music for your enjoyment. To top it off, this gorgeously designed home is complete with a 3rd story 'whale watch' retreat that offers a 360-degree view. Watch the majestic beauty of the Humpback Whales from this look out spot. Take in the scenery of Puako and don’t forget to watch the famous Hawaii sunsets!

Hale Nana Kohola has hosted numerous family events including birthdays, anniversaries, and more over the past 10 years. Our house is constantly being upgraded and is in pristine condition. We know you will love the old Hawaii feel coupled with numerous modern amenities and we cannot wait for your visit!

With some of the lowest COVID-19 numbers in the country, you can have peace of mind knowing that you are safe while you are enjoying the beauty of Puako.To keep you safe we have implemented more stringent cleaning regiments that follow current CDC guidelines. In addition, we have concierge services available for your convenience so you can stay in the home for your whole trip if you choose! With the heated pool, beautiful views, and the beach just steps from our home, you won't need to go anywhere to enjoy the beauty!
